Serduszko na Dzień Matki / A Heart for Mother's Day

W tym roku Dzień Matki sama obchodzę po raz pierwszy w życiu :-)
A oto serduszko, które zrobiłam dla mojej kochanej Mamusi:

This year I celebrate Mother's Day for the first time in my life :-)
And here is  a heart I made for my beloved Mummy :

Z jednej strony jest ptaszek na gałęzi, a z drugiej motyl.

Zakładki i serduszko / Bookmarks and a Heart

Prosto spod pędzla wyskoczyły trzy zakładki do książek, moje kolejne decoupage'owe dokonania. Wszystkie iście wiosenne - pełno na nich kwiatów, motylków i biedronek. Ja chyba mam jakaś obsesję na punkcie wiosny, nie sądzicie? :-)

Straight form under a painting brush came three bookmarks, my next decoupage pieces of work. All of them in a spring style - full of flowers, butterflies and ladybirds. It seems I'm  obsessed with spring, don't you think? :-)

I jeszcze coś - pamiętacie serduszko w maki z ostatniego posta? Dorobiło się czerwonej kokardki i teraz wygląda tak:

And one more thing - do you remember a heart with poppy flowers from the last post? It earned a red ribbon and looks like this:

Atrakcyjny serwetnik i serduszko / An Attractive Napkin Stand and a Heart

Oto owoc mojej ciężkiej dekupażowej pracy - serwetnik w maki. Trochę się nad nim napracowałam, a kiedy był już gotowy musiałam się nieźle nagimnastykować, żeby zrobić ładne zdjęcia. Bo jak sprawić, żeby serwetnik wyglądał atrakcyjnie na fotkach? :-)

Here is the outcome of my hard decoupage work - a napkin stand with poppy flowers. It cost me a lot of effort and when it was ready I had to make many attempts to make it look good in the photographs. It's not so easy to make a napkin stand look attractive :-)

Do kompletu powstało serduszko, też w maki.
To go with it there is a heart with poppy flowers as well.

They would be a gift for a relative who's got a set of cups with poppy flowers :-)

Flakonik i złota myśl / A Flower Vase and a Motto

Ostatnio powstała taka oto rzecz, bardziej jako eksperyment niż coś konkretnego :-) Widok z dwóch różnych punktów widzenia:

Recently I created this object, rather as an experiment :-) The view from two different angles:

Może być użyte jako przybornik na pędzle, flakon albo... osłonka na doniczkę, jeszcze się nie zdecydowałam.

It can be used as a painting brush kit, a flower vase or... a pot, I haven't decided yet.

I jeszcze moja złota myśl, która przyszła mi do głowy podczas eksperymentów z decoupage'm. Zapewne eksperci i wielbiciele tej techniki poczują się urażeni, ale nie taki jest mój zamiar.

Decoupage jest jak bigos - trzeba robić go cierpliwie przez kilka dni z rzędu, żeby cokolwiek z tego wyszło ;-)


And a motto which came to my mind during my decoupage experiments. Perhaps experts and fans of the technique will feel offended, but this it not my intention.

Decoupage is like bigos (traditional Polish dish made of cabbage), you have to keep preparing it patiently for a few days to get some result at all ;-)


Bardzo lubię bigos i mam do niego wielki szacunek, tylko nie wiem czy miałabym cierpliwość gotować go przez kilka dni...

I like bigos very much and have great respect for it but I'm not sure whether I would be patent enough to cook it for several days...

Butelka na oliwę / Olive Oil Bottle

Oto butelka na oliwę. Zrobiłam ja ze sporą pomocą osoby, która jest bardziej doświadczona w sztuce decoupage'u. Tak prezentuje się w mojej kuchni:

Here is an olive oil bottle. I made it with lots of help from a person who is much more experienced in decoupage art. Here is what it looks like in my kitchen:

Druga próba / Second Attempt

A to moja druga decoupage'owa próba. Tym razem okrągłe pudełko z różą. Próbowałam uzyskać efekt spękań i nie do końca mi się to udało, ale kto nie próbuje nigdy się nie nauczy. Zadziwiająca rzeczą jest to, że pudełko na zdjęciach wygląda lepiej niż w rzeczywistości :-)

Here is my second decoupage attempt. This time it's a round box with a rose. I was trying to obtain a cracking effect and did not manage but the one who never tries will never learn. The suprising fact is the box looks better in the pictuers than in real :-)

Pierwsze kroki / First Steps

Stawiam pierwsze kroki w technice decoupage. Bardzo chciałam spróbować swoich sil w tym temacie i udało się :-) Oto moja pierwsza praca. Nie wiem , czy jest do końca zgodna z regułami tworzenia decoupage, ale oto ona:
